rooted willow acknowledges with respect that we are on the traditional territories of the peoples of the Treaty 7 region of southern alberta, which includes the Kainai, Siksika, Piikani, Tsuu'tina, and the Stoney Nadoka First Nations. the city of calgary is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Battle River Territory, Districts 5 and 6. central to our acknowledgement is the recognition for the importance of relationships - the deep connections between people, the land, and the cultures that have sustained these territories for generations. with gratitude and in service of reconciliation, we aim to be intentional in our practices to honour and cherish all relationships, both past and present.
